Marie-Caroline MISSIR
Director of the Think Tank 'Vers le haut'
Marie-Caroline Missir holds degrees from Sciences Po Paris and Essec’s Media and Entertainment Program. Since 2015 she is General Delegate at VersLeHaut, an independant think thank dedicated to youth and education. For 6 years, she directed the public operator for the French Ministry of Education’s « Réseau Canopé », a network dedicated to teachers’ in-service training.
Passionate about education, digital innovation, and transformation within organizations, Marie-Caroline Missir was Director of Development at Digischool, an Edtech company specializing in apps for young people, after a career as a journalist specializing in education (deputy editor-in-chief of AEF, correspondent for Les Echos in Lyon, columnist for the Rue des Ecoles program on France Culture, then editorial director of the L'Etudiant group). She was a member of the commission on the impact of screens on young people convened by the French President, which submitted its report in 2024.
She is a director of the Coup de Pouce Association and the Association des Femmes de l'Education, a member of the scientific council of the Luxembourg Training Institute (IFEN) and the advisory board of the CNRS Mathématiques.
She is the author of “Mères, libérez-vous” (Mothers, Free Yourselves) with Louise Tourret (Plon, 2014).
