Growing up in a world of tension

How can young people build their identity, their future, their well-being, and guide their commitments in a world marked by growing geopolitical tensions and multiple threats (technological, environmental, democratic disruptions, etc.)?

Being 20 years old in 2026 means living in a context where crises intersect and reinforce each other. These tensions influence their worldview, their aspirations, and their relationship to the future.
This debate aims to explore how these challenges shape their daily lives, their choices, and their resilience, but also how they can become agents of change. Faced with current and future strategic shocks, how do young people perceive the risks to the sovereignty of France and Europe? How do they envisage committing themselves to security, territorial integrity, and freedom in a context marked by rivalries between powers? What forms of commitment are available to young people (civilian, military, hybrid)?

The Youth Parliament wants to address these unprecedented challenges for young people, for the country, and for society as a whole.

Workshop - Mental Health

Mental health and physical health are among the top three priorities expressed by young candidates for the Youth Parliament—and mental health was designated a National Cause for 2025.

During this workshop, Angèle Malâtre-Lansac, General Delegate of the Alliance for Mental Health, will open the session. The Nightline association will then introduce you to the Mental Health Fresco: a participatory, concrete, and accessible format to better understand what is at stake... and above all, what can help.

On the agenda:

Understanding the mental health continuum

Decoding the thoughts-emotions-behaviors triangle to better identify its signals

Identifying risk factors and protective factors

Leaving with simple strategies, both individual and collective, for taking care of yourself and others on a daily basis

If you want to better understand, equip yourself, or simply talk about it in a supportive environment: sign up!

Miel ABITBOL , Co-founder of Lyynk, a content creator dedicated to promoting mental health among young people

Anne PERETTE-FICAJA , Director of Communications and Operations, Alliance for Mental Health
