Thierry Cotillard, 51, has been president of Groupement Mousquetaires since January 2023.
Originally from the Côtes d’Armor region, he comes from a family of poultry farmers. After studying agricultural engineering in Rennes (Institut Agro Rennes-Angers), he began a master's degree in marketing at HEC Paris. His various end-of-study internships took him to Nestlé, then Auchan, before joining the Italian subsidiary of Les Mousquetaires in the early 2000s. He then returned to France in 2002 and became Secretary General of the Group's Centre-West region, before taking over the management of the Vêti brand. At the end of this career path, he became a Mousquetaire entrepreneur in 2008 with the takeover of the Intermarché in Issy-Les-Moulineaux. He is now at the head of four Intermarché stores in the Hauts-de-Seine department. Within the Group, he has held various positions, including that of President of ITM Alimentaire (Intermarché and Netto) from 2015 to 2020. He has also been involved in various professional organizations, chairing Perifem (technical trade federation) between 2021 and 2023, as well as the Institut Français du Merchandising (IFM) from 2014 to 2015. Since March 2024, he has been Vice President of the Fédération du Commerce et de la Distribution.
Finally, Thierry Cotillard is also co-founder of the Collège Citoyen de France, whose ambition is to identify, prepare, and support competent, responsible, humanistic, and ethical leaders.
